NZ Crinkle Yarn Handwoven Shawl

These yarns make soft, beautifully draping woven shawls. 3 balls or 300 grams are enough for the weft for a shawl 24 inches by 70 inches plus fringes, weight: 350-400 grams. Very soft with beautiful drape, colour & texture.

Pattern:
WARP: about 560 yards of fine – medium 1-2 ply wool or wool blend
WEFT: 2-3 balls (200-300 grams) of NZ Crinkle Yarn (choice of 10 colours)
Width in reed: 25 inches
Sett: 8 epi plain weave with fine 2-ply warp
No. warp ends: 200
Warp length: 100 inches ( 2.8 yards)

Finishing: Twist and knot the fringes in bundles of 4 threads. Wash in the machine in warm soapy water on delicate 2-4 minutes, rinse and spin (watch carefully, as all machines are different). Air-fluff in the drier for 2 minutes on cool. Lay flat to dry.
